Responsibilities
Design structural elements
Prepare and review drawings detailing the systems designed
Prepare design calculations
Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines
Project and team administration duties
Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues with them
Manage a project and a project team
Mentor production staff
Develop proposals and assist in marketing
Establish project budgets
Requirements
Masters Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with a strong knowledge of structural engineering fundamentals
P.E. Licensed in one or more states
Engineering experience in advanced bridge design and construction
Proficient in advanced structural analysis techniques, software, and CADD systems management
Takes ownership and responsibility for projects
Enthusiastic, ambitious and wants to grow and learn from their work every day
Understands that the ultimate purpose of designing a bridge is to get it built in the best, most efficient way possible
Having a solid network of industry contacts is a plus
