Project Summary


Spliced, Precast Concrete U-Girder Bridge

This bridge carries Interstate 25 over the South Platte River and two city streets in Denver, Colorado. The bridge is made up of three spans of spliced, precast, pre-tensioned and post-tensioned concrete U-Girders supporting full depth precast deck panels which are pre-tensioned transversely and post-tensioned longitudinally. The spans lengths are 84 ft, 148 ft & 134 ft.

Services Performed


  • Value Engineering, redesign of all bridge elements including precast girders, precast deck panels, precast piers, abutments, foundations and retaining walls.
  • Demolition engineering plans for removal of existing structures including the cable stayed removal of the steel arches over the South Platte River.
  • Construction Engineering, design of all falsework and temporary structures.
  • Erection Engineering for Precast Girders, and Deck Panels. Design of lifting equipment and rigging.
